For my film idea I am still going with the theme, ‘Rom-Com’. I have already written in depth about this genre of film and why I enjoy watching them. I am in a group with Matt, and we have both decided on our film together. We have brought together different ideas and combined them to make the best we could.
The film is going to be set in our school with some parts filmed at home and football training.
We are going to incorporate music into our film to give it an upbeat light feel to it, the songs fit in perfectly.
For when we see the boys growing up and playing together until the present day we have the song – “You’v got a friend in me” this is to portray that the boys are best friends. It gives a meaning easily without explaining everything.
For when the girl (who breaks their friendship) comes along we have her strutting along the corridor into her first lesson the song playing will be “Walk this way – Girls aloud/Sugar babes” this is to portray she is coming in the loud fast music cuts into the soft song and shows the difference this girl is going to have on their friendship. You could call her a‘home wrecker’.
Neither of the boys will admit to fancying her. As they are both - 'Macho' kind of guys. Matt & Boyzie are really into their football and sports. So when Boyzie prefers to go into the library and 'study' ( secretly wanting her help in his study which he doesnt need). He doesnt tell Matt this though.
Humour will come from the boys trying not to show that they are intersted, also itl show the girl playing the boys off one another. This will result in them competeing with eachother to become the one that she wants to pick. She has them both wrapped around her little finger and she knows it.
