Planning My Own Film!

I have chosen to use the genre - RomCom. I personally really enjoy watching these films. I like the chemistry within the characters and the verbal wit which makes it really funny. There's also slapstick in these films which makes it very funny.

I am going to set my film in a school, a girl starts a new school in a new country and doesn't know anybody. We see her learn about her new way of life and how she copes with the stress' of exams and a new group of friends.

Her parents are British but they moved to Africa to care for ill families and children, they set up surgery's and a place for the people to come and have a free cooked meal. They decided to move back to London as they were running out of money themselves to live on, they live with Sarah's Mum (Sarah is the mum).

The humour will come from the girl learning about new things in her life, like new classes, new friendship groups and new rules. She gets things wrong and learns to be like people, who aren't as nice as they seem, as she wants to fit in with them.
